“The vows you took on your wedding day were not suggestions. They were covenant vows, before a Holy God, family and friends, to stay with this person the rest of your life, even if you don’t feel like it. You swore a solemn oath and if you can’t live up to it, don’t get married. Decide up front that your marriage is irrevocable. There is far more motivation for getting along if your “marriage house” has no door.”

Some time back, I remember reading about the Feisty Princess story and was truly overwhelmed by the Mother’s account of her daughter’s struggle with cancer on her blog - Our Feisty Princess.
Today, I revisited the blog again after the author of a blog I frequent mentioned it again. I read (in reverse chronology) till the passing of the Feisty Princess. It was the most heart-wrenching account ever and I cannot imagine the pain the mother must have and is still going through.
It reminded me that…
When you think you’re going through the roughest time, always be grateful that at least you’re alive and healthy.
Be thankful for what you have and not lament over what you don’t.
It’s also coincidental that the song which touched me immensely during Mass last Sunday was somehow related to this story I read today.
Here’s to share with you guys “Sacrifice” by Bob Fitts:

Was trying to search for “jeremy lin” on Google since the BFF was saying how she thinks he’s really attractive and somehow both attempts at typing the name + auto complete + enter led me to this quote in Jeremiah.
A message from Him perhaps?
I think so :)
so today I was in Hallmark buying my mom a Happy Birthday card when I noticed this old man stnding in front of the Valentines card section contemplating which one to get. I decide to go over and I ask him “Are you getting a Valentine’s Day for your wife?” in which he replies “No my wife died 3 years ago from breast cancer but I still buy her roses and a card and bring them to her grave to prove to her that she was the only one that will ever have my heart” gmh

Was at Audubon park over the weekend and these were two of my favorite images captured.
Sometimes, it’s these little moments in life that come by unexpectedly and manages to make you feel all warm & fuzzy inside. :)

This little boy was telling his sister “don’t do that, it won’t work that way” when his sister kept pulling Jake (the dog who refused to move away from our picnic group cause he smelt food) away.
Instead he chose an alternative method. Patiently sitting down by Jake and talking to him in a gentle tone asking him to move along.
Though it didn’t work but still… how sweet is that! Innocence of a child :)
Father & son bonding time.
This dad brought a suitcase filled with toys for his lil boy and just sat down playing with him whilst his wife tried teaching their daughter how to cycle.
When I have a family of our own, that’s how I want to spend my lazy weekend afternoons spending quality family time together. Such sweet contentment.
