New York City: Statue of Liberty, Rockefeller, Grand Central

Since NYC has been raining for the past few days we decided to make use of the sunny weather to head to the Statue of Liberty before it gets rainy again…

Being the typical tourist we got excited when we saw this fake “statue” and headed over immediately when he beckoned. Bad move. He charged us $5 for snapping this shot.

So people, never ever be fooled.

The queue for the tickets and the queue for the ferry line after that was horribly long!

Gorgeous day indeed to be there!

Despite the crowd, we managed to secure a spot for our pictures!

Headed over to the American Museum of Natural History - heard amazing things about this place but sadly, it was the most boring place for me. I couldn’t stop yawning my way through the entire time…

If only this was a reflection of my weight on Earth

Always saw this in the shows. Would have tried it if not for the exhorbitant price.Think it was around $7/cone?

The most disgusting and salty don ever! Just outside Rockefeller ticketing booth.

Decided to squeeze in Rockefeller visit in the evening cause we realized we do not have enough time left.

Thought we went at the perfect time (around 6ish) to catch the sunset but who knows they decided to shut the Rockefeller visiting for 2 hours so we were supposed to go back at 8pm.

Not a bad idea after all since the sunset was around that time instead (was still used to SG’s sunset time)

Beautiful aint it?

We were feeling perky that day so whilst the energy lasted, we headed down to Grand Central Terminal which was supposed to be around 15mins away from where we stayed.

Gossip Girl scene!

Headed home and what an eventful night.

When we were almost reaching our place I decided to walk on to head over to Pret-a-Manger to grab a bite. Bad mistake cause some guys were making a pass at us and followed us a little. Saw them even after we left the shop so we took a detour back and approached some random guy (who looked relatively safe) to walk us back to our door.

Phew

Thank goodness nothing happened. Nonetheless, twas exciting! :) And that was about the scariest thing we encountered in New York so no, I don’t think New York is that bad as what people say… At least not if you stick to the safe zones.
